I believe I was born to work with animals. From as far back as I can remember I have loved animals of any kind, caring for them, working with them and just being around them. My big loves are dogs and horses, both of which I have had extensive professional work experience with. I started my professional animal care career at a large horse boarding facility in Northern California and then spent several years at a top whippet show dog kennel. I live in Sacramento, CA with my two wonderful whippets "Angel" & "Skyy".
At a wonderful horse boarding facility in Davis, CA I provided special care for horses as specified by the owners while they were out-of-town such as providing special feed, medicine and/or turning out. I also provided special care for mares and their foals.
At the Grand Prix whippet kennel I cared for and fed all dogs & puppies daily, groomed and bathed anywhere from 6 to 21 dogs/puppies weekly, exercised, cleaned, and trained and prepared dogs for shows or lure coursing. I even occasionally showed. I assisted with whelping puppies, removed dewclaws, gave shots and necessary medications. I trained all puppies in basic obedience, potty training, crate training, socialization, and occasionally agility, before they left for their forever homes. While at Grand Prix I worked with proprietor Wendy Gay to rehabilitate dogs with behavioral issues such as: aggression, debilitating fear, trauma, and occasionally boarded and worked with dogs with bad habits to retrain behavior. My professional animal care jobs were fantastic and hard work, which I appreciated, because they taught me so many things about animals, myself, and what I wanted to do with my life.
After decades of experience in outstanding animal care, stellar dog training, canine rehabilitation, canine health & grooming, and developing many other animal care skills, I want to share my dog knowledge and my pet care experience with anyone in need of my services.
